At ConfiDental, we prioritize transparency and convenience in our payment processes.
Below is an overview of our payment policies and options:
While an advance deposit is not required, we ask that payment for dental services be made before any procedures commence.
Accepted Payment Methods
Cash: Visitors can bring up to $10,000 in cash without reporting to tax authorities. To remain below this threshold, we recommend bringing in $9,900. Upon arrival, we can securely store these funds in our safe.
Credit Card payments can be made before treatment, either in the USA or Costa Rica. Please let your credit card company or bank know about international transactions so there are no issues.
Our dental care pricing is based on cash payments only. Credit card payments are subject to a 5% fee, which covers the bank’s processing charge. To take advantage of the best prices, please consider paying in cash.
Payment Links: For added convenience, we offer secure payment links. Clients can input their card information and complete payments from anywhere worldwide.
Non-Accepted Payment Methods
Travelers’ Checks are not widely accepted in Costa Rica. Before your procedure, you’ll need to find a bank to cash them.
Personal Checks: Costa Rican banks may hold personal checks for up to 30 days before clearing.
Cashier or Bank Checks: Unlike in the USA, these are not considered negotiable instruments in Costa Rica and are treated similarly to personal checks.
Payments can be transferred to our USA or Costa Rica bank accounts. Please consult your bank regarding their wire transfer procedures. We recommend initiating the transfer at least 2-4 days before your treatment to ensure timely processing.
If you wish to make an advance payment via wire transfer, please initiate the transfer at least five business days before your appointment. This timeframe accounts for potential processing delays, as international wire transfers take one to five business days. Also, please keep in mind that wire transfers may incur fees from both the sending and receiving banks and potential intermediary banks. These fees can vary based on the banks involved, the amount being transferred, and whether the transfer is domestic or international. We recommend consulting with your bank to understand the total fees applicable to your transaction and considering these costs when deciding the final amount to transfer.
Your payment will be refunded if you cannot attend your appointment due to an emergency or unforeseen circumstances.
